Very glad you like the T1 but for what was the same price, I chose JH13. ACS almost offered me a job when I saw them at a motorbike show. They could go a long way (watch their Apple tie up about to hit!).

I guess it is about the same price when you think about it - the dollar's sat at 1.66 or thereabouts to the pound isn't it? So your feeling is that the silicon dulls the 'sparkle' to some extent? That's interesting. That's exactly why I'm interested in the difference between the T1 and the JH-13 Pro really. The T1 is lovely and clear (the same detail - the noise of the folds and button clicks on accordions (Amelie soundtrack), the breaths of the singer on any decent recording, particularly live ones, the sound and feeling/impression of contact on strings, the feeling of expanse and positioning...) but mostly it's warm and very lush - it really conveys emotion which is something new to me. I guess the JH-13s manage that too, by what I'm reading.

The guy Andy Sciach seems a top top bloke and I hope they really take off, because he's an evangelist and is truly on a mission rather than on a money-making/exploitation trip.

So they offered you a job mate? Wow - what was the role if you don't mind me asking?

The customer service is outta this world and Gerry is a great guy!
The impressions are $90aud.
He said that if they have any problems then they will redo them again for free which is nice.

I reckon that place is the go for Sydney people.

Thank you! I'll pay him a visit sometime because mine right earpiece didn't fit right, I should've got my impressions done right the first go!

Well we'll see how the fit is when I get them.
Make sure you take them with you when you go. Might help him diagnose what went wrong with the first impressions.
OMG I want my now!

I saw that yesterday and sent the DM and got one of the discounts, yay! Since I actually placed my order on Tuesday, they said they'd apply the discount to the order . It should help defray the cost of the artwork and overnight shipping both ways

Hold on - is there a $100 Head-Fi discount? Or was that in another lifetime?

Yes it was, but it is over a long time ago. I believe that is in June 09 time frame.

Actually they are currently offering any 100$ discount for the JH13s.

Maybe someone will buy a JH11 for once now
Being in that pit between the 10X3 and the 13 while only $100 less than the 13 probably didn't help much

U mean i can get $100 off without a special code or anything?
$850 for a UE11 competitor (likely better, too, since the UE11 was Jerry's design) is a NASTY good deal. Anyone in the market for a serious, bassy alternative to Westone's ES3X at the same price point should jump on that.

As far as I know the $100 off JH13 offer is done after the "Thanks to everyone who replied in our first Twitter promotion!" tweet.

Should there be a "not" in there?

You found me out! You should be a detective, lol

I did get them two days ago but because of some really nasty stuff going on at work (a bunch of coworkers are being let go), I've been crazy busy. I've only really gotten to listen to them for like an hour However! They do seem to fit very nicely but like I said, I haven't been able to listen for extended periods of time. Before all of this work stuff began (the day before JH13s arrived) I had planned on taking all of these photos for everyone, now it'll have to wait.

The only thing I'll say that I picked up in my first hour of listening is that I finally understand what everyone means by veiled sound, as in, these have none but everything before them did.

Thanks for asking!

Does anyone know of any RMAA tests of amps driving the JH13? They seem to be behaving oddly with the Firestone amps, and I'm wondering if there are any measurements involving other amps out there.

Especially not the other sound bore because that means they have both gone right through your head and there was nothing to stop them!
