does any one have jh13-pro connected directly to x1061 without amp? how does it sound? did you have to adjust the EQ setting to make it sound right? what about clear bass?

I don't think they offer that service although I know some other less well-known companies do. It would really make customs much more viable to a wider audience although it might reduce the profits for JH Audio.

I think I will order mine without art at first and send them back for it when they have the new machines going because the jagged edges would ruin it for me. They look great nonetheless.

ha ha! that's the head-fi spirit. Yeah, I doubt I would either based on my impressions of them from a recent meet. I actually thought that while the JH13 sounded technically better than the JH12, all the instruments just jumped out and seperated, they had a bit of treble emphasis/glare which the JH12 did not, it seemed totally flat. But I was told at the meet this was because the JH13 doesn't work too well with the universal pads, but the jh12 seems to fit them better.

This is probably discussed before, but I can't read all this...

Hi Vick. You didn't miss any initial impressions, I just got them last night. I've only had them in my ears for 2 hours between yesterday and today. Only a couple of albums through a Mustang/imod combo using alac.

I hear deep clear bass, extreme speed, large soundstage and a little brightness on the high end. I might be so used to my UE10's with this combo as far as the brightness goes. I will have to compare to my other headphones as soon as I can.
