It's still an opinion whether I've heard it or not. But it's a pretty clear fact IEM's are not great for soundstage and immersive experience. I doesn't matter how hard I try and close my ears and imaging myself being there I cannot fool my brain. The sound is too closed in to give me that feeling. Maybe the JH13 Pro may be a bit more expansive than top universal IEM's but still it won't fool my brain into thinking I'm at a live concert.

I was just asking, because everyone on this thread has had the same opinion so far and your the only one that has stated something different.

I am in awe of the super expansive-sounding soundstage through these IEMs. Honest. The UE11 had a nice 3d effect going on, but these things sound huge.

Of course they're not actually open... but I don't agree with the idea that IEM's are doomed to have narrow, cramped sound.

Instruments sound strikingly real. The top end extension gives the hints of realism to everything. I think it's an effect of this headphone's ruthless accuracy across the entire (balanced) frequency range that makes for its great soundstage. And if you ask me, Jerry is redefining what an IEM can do.

Have you heard them?

There are plenty of headphones that can't compete with the soundstage of the JH13s. And I would suggest that there are few headphones that I've heard that can even come close to giving me the same immersive feeling of being inside the music that these can.

Heh, gotta love a new guy who comes in and starts talking about things he hasn't heard.

How on earth can you make a statement on something you don't have and even if you do, how could you state that other people are not hearing what they report? I have compared these to some different headphones in my possession and it is the 13 I now pick up and use to listen with. They DO throw a soundstage for me, which surprises me but it is something I always thought an IEM could do but none had, until now. This is my opinion and valid for me.

My instinct tells me I know something about the identity of this 'new member'.

To paraphrase an aphorism, there are three kinds of people in this world: those who have heard about doing it, those who have watched someone doing it, and those who have actually peed on the electric fence. Maybe it's time you got some real experience, because you sure haven't heard what the rest of us here have. Had someone told me before buying, that the JH13s could exceed the HD800s soundstage and so-called immersive experience, I would have been skeptical. I did not buy them to be my best headphone, just my best IEM. That they are my best headphone is undeniable. Of course it is not the same experience as speakers, but before you pontificate about things you have not yet experienced, why don't you try talking less and learning more?

Hey thread, love the look of your JH13's. What color are they...clear? smoke? Whatever that color is, I think that's the color for me. Love seeing the insides like that.

Oh wow. I didn't mean to offend any of you guys. It's like I was trying to take one of a mother animals egg and that mother jumps at me with anger. I'm basing this soundstage info off of the IEM's I own now compared to the headphones I own and have heard. So you say the JH13 Pro has a better soundstage than the HD800 or many other full size headphones? That's crazy.

I might just get some JH|5 Pro and some Aperion 6T Towers for the living room!

I hadn't even heard of JH13 until yesterday and stumbled quite by accident upon this thread. After reading all the comments I feel I must get myself a pair. But I need to get my ear impressions done first. Can someone recommend a good audiologist in the San Francisco Bay Area (preferably in South Bay, Peninsula or Fremont)?
