My 13's have no bubbles and zero chips. They are smooth and feel good.

I have a nice iRiver H140 that I modified with some good output caps and the sound is very fine. At 120gb and the quality of the iRiver, though not tiny, a good portable rig will be right there.

Just got my JH-13's today and listening to them now. They're quite a bit harder to drive then the 10x3's.. no hiss out of Ipod/Cowon D2 and lot less from the M^3 amp. Obviously the 28ohm impedence (vs 18ohm on the 10x3) helps.
Will take some side by side pics later for now... enjoying them ![]() |

Okay a quick side-by-side comparison ... 10x3's with the clear cable, 13's with the black cable
Its interesting looking at them, that they're not exactly the same shape, which is a little puzzling because they came from the same impression but I guess its not a 100% exact replica process... both seal well enough though so I'm not worried. I'll have to give it time to see if the JH-13 is more/less comfortable then the 10x3's ImageShack Gallery |

One thing I can say right away, is that the soundstage is wider on the 13's then the 10x3.. and I thought the 10x3 was pretty big to begin with!

My JH Audio JH13 Pro arrived today. The fit? Perfect. The sound? Perfecter. The outcome? My new reference IEM.
Also in the photo below: iPod Classic 160GB connected to Ray Samuels Audio Predator via a Cable Pro Reverie SuperDock iPod dock cable--all of which is contained in a groovy Hippo Case (which is sold by Jaben / Crossroads). |
