I've been in contact with Jerry about getting my right monitor redone. It's a little bit small in the canal and it's preventing me from getting a good seal.

It's not a huge issue as they sound is great. It's just that they don't feel right, and for what they cost, I would like them to be perfect.

Look at it this way. You'll be that much closer to audio nirvana for just about a grand.

I believe Head-Fiers who got their impressions in before June 30 received $100 off. I did.

That's really hard, also considering the JH13 pro are a brand new product. Maybe go for a lower end model, like the JH5 PRo, or the UE4? which are at less than half the price of the JH13.

So coming from, saaay, a set of IE8s, W3s, or Triplefis, is the SQ difference just absolutely staggering, or is it more of a superior sound isolation issue? Or both...

I took mine in Coquitlam. I got them from Island Hearing Services, They charge $9.90 per ear, so it's $19.80 a pair, quality service and they are some pretty nice people. $19.80 is also pretty cheap for impressions. There's also no tax. (Here's a link to their locations, so you can book an Appointment Island Hearing - digital hearing aids, batteries, hearing tests, and audiological services)

Absolutely staggering....they are on a completely superior level vs. all the universals I have owned (SE530, W3, UM3X, IE8, ER4P)....even the difference vs. the UE11 is quite noticeable IMHO.

Of those, I've only heard the TF10s but I have also owned the SE530s and heard many top tier full size cans, and the SQ on the 13s is staggering! It's no joke. And this is unamped straight out of my Zune 120.

I had Westone 3s with UM56 custom tips, LiveWires 2 customs, and Ety 4 6 sets, along with other stuff not needing to be named. The difference is staggering.

Sweet... which brings me to my next question. Being that much better than any other universals, which Im sure they are, does the difference reeeally show itself when using just an Ipod as a source? I have read in other threads that it still shines above the rest, even with just an Ipod, but I am just trying to get any other opinions from anyone who using this set up...

I came from Triple Fis.

What I thought was cool was that the sound signature was similar.

But the separation, details, extensions (both highs and lows) and resolution were STUNNING.

Yes even with an iPod headphone out

I was listening to my friend's iPod (newest nano version) and was pretty disappointed compared with my Zune. Don't know about other iPods though.
