if HeadphoneAddict´s price estimate was right, and they sounded awesome, my guess is they are probably lying in a dark corner somewhere, crying and shaking because they could never afford them

Nice pics, wish that had been in the UK.

Scorche's pictures are as good as anyone can ask for from a non-attendee's point of view.

Thanks man!

Anyone have any impressions of Ray's A-10 Thunderbolt? It looks like a massive entry into the stat world.

Jack Wu's new stuff looks as good as good gets. Typical Woo Audio. A pleasure to have him and his family a part of the Head-Fi community.

The HiFiman is a little bigger than a H-120 and yet, it includes a highest quality DAC and an amp! If it's anything like Fang has brought into our lives previously, it will definitely be a part of my everyday portable listening experience.

Is Mike Diaz the person who left UE and started JHAudio at jhaudio.com?

If it is, I would buy his IEM's without a second's notice. He is one of the most stand-up people you would ever want to meet.

I spy 2 reel-to-reels in Scorche's pics. One looks like Jeff's (vpivinylspinner) and one looks like ironbut's. If so those are incredible sounding units.

So many questions, so little time.

Ken and Vinnie's Amphora sure do look mighty purty.

I am supposed to be enjoying family vacation right now, but this is drawing me in, like a moth to a flame. Don't want to miss a beat!

Aaron, I'm also not at CanJam (:bitter, but I did a little browsing, and I'm pretty sure JHaudio is Jerry Harvey, who I believe was the founder(?) of UE.

Thanks, Vincent.

So Jerry and Mike both left UE? Who is left?

Bitter pill:

I never got the full story, but Logitech acquired UE in August 2008 for $34 million. Nice chunk of change. However, I think Mike had left before that and maybe Jerry, too. IIRC, Logitech and UE were involved in some sort of JV/co-branding prior to the full-blown acquisition.

Take the above with a grain of salt as it is a bit speculative.

Seems like Logitech is moving in a smart direction.
First Slim Devices and now UE.

too much hd800 hype, bah i'm not interested until i get to hear them for myself. Theyre just too expensive to buy blindly. Now something thats 500 and under however I'll consider getting just to try... then sell if I dont like hehehe
