I'm newly registered Headphone-entusiast from Finland.
My system:
-Sony NWZ-E436F mp3 player
-Cmoy with OPA2227
-Grado SR-225 for home
-Grado SR-60 for bicycling etc.
Question is. Do ya propeller heads know how much output power that Cmoy gives @ 300/30ohms? It contains single 9V-battery.
We have here in Finland a great hi-fi magazine called Hifimaailma (hifiworld in english) and there was test for headphone amps.
There was 2 products rated as High end-level, they were HEED CanAmp and Grado RA-1
Isn't it true, that basicly Cmoy is pretty much like Grado RA1 -only that theres two 9V-units in Grado? Hifimaailma measured RA-1 output power like this:
32ohm 160mW
270ohm 114mW
So, is it so simple that Cmoy just has half the power comparing to RA-1?
