Hi All,

I found this thread recently and decided to order two of the LM4562NAs based on positive reviews. Just received the opamps this afternoon and have been comparing with stock amps. Initially the sound seemed almost too bright but I think I'm enjoying the difference now. They do sound more detailed and airy while the mids and bass sound as good as before. A nice little upgrade for the price.

Am I the only one who prefers the stock NE5532 over the LM4562?

 

I haven't listened to the headphone output much, but the preamp output to my mackie monitors.  I guess I didn't swap back and forth much, but after switching to the 4562, I like the tonal balance better, a little warmer, but I feel I lost a lot of detail and transparency.  Seems like the opposite of what most have said.
