Great review! Do these use Kleer technology?

You can get Kleer for the Sleek SA6 or the Custom. It is a unit that plugs into your source via 3,5 mm jack and then hooks into each coaxial input on the Sleek earphones. So, yes it does, but it requires a separate purchase. Worthwhile though as they get 10m range I think which means making dinner without worrying about spilling gravy on your DAP!

Nafta does that for retail stuff, but importing is different. If a canadian reseller sold the Sleek products, NAFTA would take care of that, but if you order from outside of Canada, you pay duties.

Shigzeo-

You've owned the Future Sonics Atrios, right? Could you compare the Sleeks to the Atrios? I'm considering upgrading my Atrios to the Future Sonics customs but I was curious how the Sleeks compared to the Atrios for the possibility of a cheaper solution.

Thanks!

the sleek customs? or the sleek sa6? the customs are an unfair comparison. if i had the custom futuresonics it would be more fair, but the atrio, as good as they are suffer from universal construction. i am sure they would sound amazing if they were custom. the rumble and instrument placement from the custom which i miss in every universal is not coming from the atrio.

compared to the sa6 would be a better discussion.

purely across the board comments though:
the atrio are bassier
the atrio are more laid back
cable is similar

the sleek (custom) sound better on every front - perfect. by far worth in sound more than their 300$ price tag (or 350$) for what it matters.

anyway, officially, these customs are called the CT6 according to David at Sleek. They are a newer make than the models from last year and i guess were finalised around February, but I am unsure.

I also emailed David after the announcement of the CT6s. Looks like they streamlined the order process as well. Before you just submitted a query to Sleek, now you can choose all your options from their store.

Ended up backing out of the UE4s a while ago because I didn't want to part with my IE8s. Now I'm just wondering if the CT6s can be tuned to a taste that I enjoy with the Sennheisers.

i have the ie8 in my possession. i am not sure you can get that much mid bass in the sleek, but you can get gobs of bass. the highs (i have plus on both bass and high) and they are smooth as hell.

but the thing that really sets them apart is the bone conduction. lovely, lovely phones.

See, that's what I'm interested in. The vibrations customs create while in your ear. I love to "feel" the music being played, not so much to analyze it. If the Sleek Customs give you that feeling, it's very very tempting to put an order in.
