SOLD: My B22/Cmoy hybrid

Folks,

I was going to convert my B22 into a balanced version, but now I'm thinking it would be better to just start fresh. In that case, I'd like to send my 3-channel beta to a good home. So I'm just seeing if anyone would be interested in this one-of-a-kind amp.

Build pics here.

The only difference compared to the last picture is that the wooden base is actually trimmed to size now.

As for the parts, everything came from glass jar audio (default gain of 8) except the cheapy speaker terminals and the switch that allows you to choose between the two sets of RCA inputs. The speaker terminals work fine and are connected with a zobel network as recommended. The RCA inputs both work fine too and comes in handy for switching between my gamma1 and my integrated amp.

The build itself went great, no need to desolder or redo anything thanks to having all my questions answered by the generous people in this community.

Anyway, let me know if you have any questions. I'm thinking I would let it go for $620 non-CC paypal CONUS including shipping (which will be substantial... this thing is big and heavy!)

The only reason this is a "CMoy" hybrid, is because of the tin?

Yes... tongue firmly in cheek. It's just a 3 channel beta in a creative enclosure.

I would be all over this deal if I hadn't purchased the parts for my build...

Cmon people, $620 for a Beta22!

I agree. I jumped on it when I wasn't sure if Jeff, over at Glass Jar Audio, would have time to set up my order. When Jeff got back with me, I had to honor my previous commitment.

But if I'd had no such commitment, and somebody came on here with a B22 for only $620, not to mention the creative enclosure, I'd have scooped it up myself. Personally, I love the fact that this enclosure reminds the world that the magic is on the INSIDE, not the outside. It's not about sleak exteriors dressed up like furniture. It's about the harmony between components and connections. Anybody can hide the goods in a fancy silver box. There's a cool punk quality about ignoring all hype and serving up steak on a paper plate.

Thanks for the kind words! Maybe I'll start the hunt for another cookie tin for an even more minimalist beta. I'm thinking 2-channel with a matching "enclosure" for the sigma 22. Hmm... Or maybe a tin for each board so it could be modular. I'll have to think about this.

comeon guys; this is obsenely good value and you still get to DIY the enclosure and up the quality of the speaker terminals for the DIY fix. if I wasnt obsessed with DIYing my own 4 channel I would be all over this
