I just got the 250ohm version, should I have gotten the 600ohm? Even if all I will do is plug the headphones into my Xonar STX, I dont plan on buying an amp.

I had both and compared.  In converse to the seeming consensus here, I liked and kept the 250's over the 600's.

I felt the 600's had tighter and more impactful bass, but they were brighter and more fatiguing to me than the 250's.  Freq response graphs at headphone.com reflect that too.  The 250's won for me.

Hi,

Can anyone say what impedance has mine headphones by check image below ? I thought that I bought ones with 250 ohm but they are very loud so I'm wondering if it's 32 ohm.

Impedance has nothing to do with how loud a headphone is. It's the sensitivity.

One of my headphones is 300 ohm, but has a high sensitivity, so plays loud.

As for your headphone it's 250 ohm. See http://headphones.warzone.org/

I have both the 250 ohm Pro model and 600 ohm model and I've done a side by side A/B comparison using a DNA Sonett amp which can easily drive both.

The big difference is this: when listening with the 250 ohm, I like to have the volume dial at around 6 or 7; if I turn it up higher, I don't get much improvement in quality of music (as in it doesn't get richer or more detailed, only louder). When listening with the 600 ohm, I can turn the volume dial comfortably up to 8 or 9 and the music becomes noticeably richer and filled with details that I never was able to experience with the 250 ohm.

I haven't done an exhaustive comparison between the two because I immediately realized how much I like the 600 ohm version with my setup but expect one in the near future.
