So I went out and bought a pair of Ultimate Ears Super Fi vi over the weekend having little homework under my belt other than a review from AnythingbutiPod (now boy do I feel daft since I use an Apple product with these 'phones!). I should have read past page 10 of the relevant thread re. the Super fi 5 2.0's, because I must agree that the sound is thus far quite unsatisfying.
Anyhoo, before I start thinking that all hope is lost, is there a (budget) amp that can be mated with these phones and my iPhone? What I am especially looking for is bass impact, since I listen to a lot of trance, techno and heavy drum & bass. The FiiO E3 was recommended to me in the Super fi 5 thread, however it doesn't appear suitable for use with ;phones with such low impedance.
I live in Australia, therefore ease of shipment is also quite important.
The other question is..., have I made completely the wrong decision in my choice of earphones?
