I was wondering if there is an optimal length for an after market cable for the Sennheiser 650s. I know with interconnects many believe that 4 meters is the best length for optimal sound from any given cable. With USB cables, the shorter the better. Does the same apply to headphone cables? By the way, I would prefer a cable length of at minimum a ten feet.

I bought these puppies just before Christmas and they have been a revelation. I can't tell you how much they suit my listening tastes. I love close listening with lots of treble and tight...

It's very small player, so I like it. I have Clip+ since Christmas and I'm very satisfied!

First of all let me say this is one of my favourite BA driver earphones I have ever heard. That said, being a basshead, these didn't deliver in the bass department - I can't deny the fact...

I've had this card for quite a while now, and I have to say its a really nice card - a huge step-up to my on-board motherboard's audio. At first I do have to admit, it didn't feel like the D1...

I think you'd struggle to hear a difference between eg 10ft and whatever else may be practical to you (eg 15ft). I'd keep it as short as possible just for neatness, according to your application.

Get the shortest possible.
It's arguable that the longer it takes for the signal to get into the drivers, the worse it sounds. Now, I don't necessarily believe it since data travels so fast there's only nanoseconds of difference which is barely audible if at all.
I know, blasphemy as a cable maker!

The longer the cable, the higher inductance and capacitance, hence possible high-frequency drop-off. It may be academic, but in theory shorter is better. I've heard marginal differences with a 2.5 m against my 1 m Zu Mobius. The differences with the stock cable are larger, though, as I've experienced myself.
