The Klipsch flagship battle royale - Custom 3 vs. Image X10. The winner is.... - Page 3

Mine are split as well, but they don't seem to be damage in any other way.

Anything I should be worried about by the strain relief splitting? I mean they sound fine and look fine otherwise, but I don't want to end up without headphones.

I've been listening strictly to the X10 for the past couple months because I like their small size, their portability in the little square case opposed to the big rectangle one, and their comfort. Then today I decided to blow the dust off my Custom 3's to use at the gym and wow - how sweet they are! I forget how damn good they sound.

Did Anybody try C3 with X1000 or S9 and what's the results?.

Just to update - I've really started pushing myself into the gym hardcore over the past 5 months and I find myself wearing the X10 almost every time over the Custom 3. The C3 tend to slip out while doing certain exercises (bench, decline, etc) but the X10 never pop out.

Sure the C3 still sound better, but for weight lifting, I think the X10 are better.
For mountain biking, the C3 are perfect.

The cables on the C3 still suck after all this time.

Love my C3. Thinking about getting a new set for backups since they can be had for around $100-140 now a days. During certain songs I prefer the C3 over the MTPC (monster turbine pro copper). And I agree, the cables sucks, but one just needs to be careful and not be forceful to prevent the infamous kinks.
