Well just got my pair.

I am a bit upset for one thing. Usually if they do not call for customs you don't have to pay. However the guy came and told me I had to pay, a lot (So my pair costs quite a lot of money :S)

Anyways the build quality is excellent. A bit of more glue than the necessary, but metal work is flawless. No scratches. The headband is great too.

Well I am quite excited. Gonna make a long listen with these.

EDIT: Forgot about one important thing. THE BOX WAS NOT SEALED! Is that normal Todd?

#123 flawless in sound quality, love the lack of sibilence and harshness that grado's often have in the upper range.

I personally don't care one bit if it's Fi or F1. I regret that I didn't perchase one when they were available. I understand that whatever move Grado makes will upset some Head-Fiers but I don't feel that ceasing production is the answer.

Mine (#84) came sealed. The Grado box is still sealed as I haven't had a chance to open it.

It's obvious that the demand for the HF2 is present as a waiting list is being generated. Todd did leave it open that they will cease production for the time being. What I see possible is that Grado could make this a new addition to their line up but charge a higher price as to not offend the HF2 'F1' series members.

This is just theorethical. In any case, the PS1000 is already out there. Metal Wood Housing w/ the PRICE Tag.

Yes just pure speculation on my part. I am listening to them right now and thinking 'baby PS1000', wonder how the real deal top of the line Grado must sound.

Hello........ Everyone.... What's up with all of this fuss..... Why so much argument, rejection, upset, even somebody come with conspiracy theory....
I'm so sure todd n john grado himself love and care our community so much and have unique way n connection to all of us.
We all love music, love our community, love (or not?) grado sound....
Think about this, there is no other headphone company have this much care to our community except grado itself.....
Okay, grado is not perfect, but who's perfect? I love the touch of grado, the feel of human in every of them. It's make u can feel the passion behind every creation of them....
Okay, this F1 thing is silly.... But there is no way grado could redo all the process....
Why keep make noise of this? Just accept this n think this as some sense of unique.
I know, there are people can't stand live with mistake, it's totally okay, just dont buy it, as simple as that.
So, please stop this argue people.....

With any hope, the demand and positive reviews of the sound will result in the HF-3.

John and Todd - how about a full woody next time?

The demand is there and these are guaranteed sales. Though there's been some kvetching, I think the reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Can we do this again?
