Fedex..

But the charges are indicated as GST and PST. There are two separate charges for those, along with another $10 charge, which all add up to $75.
If Canada Post didn't ding you on delivery, I'm quite certain you will get a nice invoice later on in the mail

I am thinking that since the HF-2 is not available in Canada, they have no business charging GST and PST. I think I'll check into this.

It's a hit and miss with Canada post using express mail. Sometimes if you're lucky, you won't get hit with customs. If Canada post does charge him, he'll need to pay upfront before they will release the package. I'm petty sure he won't receive any invoice from Canada post.

Nice 'phones! Beautiful finish, shiny silver cups and beautiful jet black leather headband. Oh, and they sound lovely! WELL worth the wait!

Thanks Todd!
Beagle, I feel your pain. I got dinged quite a bit in taxes for my ESW10's.

I hope this is the same for me. I also used USPS Express mail International.

Don't believe there's plans for anything more than that.
I know, but I thought the original plan before the "typo" was to give people 1-2 months notice before sales stopped, and the quantity built was not to be capped at a certain number. The typo messed that up and caused the sale to end sooner than expected, and I just feel bad for those that missed out.

I guess in the end it makes more sense than making more HF-2 without the typo and p***ing off the early adopters.

If I was initially upset but ultimately reluctantly accepting of the typo you can be darn sure I'd be royally p.o.'d without calming down if correct cups were made in a second batch.

If there is a second batch with correct cup, I believe a lot of those who received F1 version earlier will demand an exchange

If I got an order confirmation does this mean I got my order in on time?

x2, I think the have had to stop anymore from being made. The other option would be to make a batch with the F1 logo, but I can't see that happening.

As soon as the error was made Todd posted that all ordered cups had been sent to Grado with the error.

I'm happy with my F1s. I wouldn't mind if they made another batch with the typo fixed. However, I do think it'd cause a lot of returns and headaches.

The bottom line for me is that the HF-2 is well made and sounds excellent. It is one of the best Grados I've heard.

Just wait - by the end of the year people will be begging for used pairs. Not that many have shipped yet, and I think the HF-2's reputation will grow as more people receive them. I haven't heard of anyone who was disappointed with the sound.

Whoops, double posted.

Doubtful!
Cause then they either have to make more Head-F1 cups, which will revive that discussion again. Or make Head-Fi cups, then risk many of those earlier takers to demand an exchange.

Hopefully everything go smoother with the HF-3, if we ever get one.

My Head-F1 HF2s have arrived!!
I'd probably do a short comparison between it and the 325is when it gets more burnt in.

First Grado, first bitter taste of disappointing build quality.

Damn it... I was on the first batch and still haven't received mine...

Ok I purchased USPS international shipping (cheapest), ok customs can be a pain in the ass (1 week in customs still hasn't come), but c'mon, they'll have to come one day or another

Anyone in the same situation?
