The Grado HF2--It's For Real - Page 63

Now I've made it out to be a big deal? lol Just discussing various Grados now and getting info on what has what. I've said more then once that I'm sure John made them the best he could without complaining that a metal ring would 'complete the package' or any such thing. I'd say I've made it 'no deal.'

First impressions of these wins a prize

As a very happy 325i owner this is really a tough choice without a chance to demo for myself, and I get one month to agonize before I lose it!

If anyone in Chicago gets their hands on a pair early and is willing to let someone take a listen please PM!

Yeah, the prize of being further bombarded with questions

I don't think I can say it in any other way, it was just an observation. Don't get so riled up over it.

I wish Grado used metal parts on all their headphones from the SR125 and up. I know it's wishful thinking. For the cost of the headphones, I don't think it's unrealistic.

However, you'll see that I own both a GS1000i and a RS1i, so I don't let my wishful thinking stop me from enjoying what Grado has to offer. I went from an SR125 straight to the GS1000, an atypical upgrade path so maybe I've been spoiled.

Either way, I won't ever apologize for wanting the most for my money.

I'm not riled up at all! Just excited, although I'd saved up for the Compass which I've ordered and then I read about these heh and am extremely tempted. 'Sorry about your wallet.' I mean we could wish for PS1000 clones at $430 but like you said that would just be wishful thinking, and it's hard to be dissapointed which it seemed you were.

I know the feeling. My RS1i just came in this past week, I bought them only a couple of days before the HF2 was announced.

I'm still tempted to snatch up a pair, I think these headphones look great and if the rumors that these sound like the PS1000 are true, it will be an exceptionally difficult headphone to ignore.

Can anybody tell if the headband has padding in it? The only real gripe I have with my 325is is that the headband is pretty flat, and it sometimes hurts when I wear it for a long time. I'm hoping the HF-2s are more comfy!

Wonder when they'll start shipping
Yes! My first Grados. Come to me soon, my pretties.

Damn they look nice. But can I afford it?

I know I'll regret it later if I don't buy them, so I guess I can afford them
