TTVJ Hybrid Portable owners registry

I have one...and am using it with my ESW10JPN at work out of my Dell Mini 9 and Headamp Pico DAC.

Another WAY-more-than-Happy owner here. I've had a TTVJ Portable Millett Hybrid Amp for (I'm pretty sure) about two years now. It sounds SO good with my favorite stationary phones AND my favorite portable phones (Yuin PK1) that I use it as part of a highly convenient and transportable rig (without sacrificing SQ) whenever and wherever one is needed. It still amazes me how much of the sonic goodness of tubes can be had for a power cost that can be paid for tens of hours at a stretch by the small, portable, rechargeable, Lithium battery inside. Definitely a very worthy member of my collection of fine and versatile listening instruments.

Not the 100% best solution, but yes, it's fully capable of driving them reasonably loud without clipping and sounding bad.

What a fantastic amp! I use mine to run:

Grado 125s
Sennheiser HD280Pros
Sennheiser HD25 Mark IIs
Ultrasone Pro 900s

The transformation of the Grado 125s is remarkable! What a gorgeously warm sound that can only be described by the German word 'Gemutlichkeit' If only German sounded more poetic....

Anyone who finds the Sennheiser HD25 Mark IIs too 'dark' or lacking in soundstage, will be shocked at how radically these portables acquire a full body weight and acoustic platform. I've been auditioning various string quartets and chamber music (ideal with an amp like this) as well as female vocals and alternative rock music.

I'm sooooooo impressed! Thanks Todd for such a fabulous and unique amp. This is the one to get for sheer sonority and sonic delivery if its' size is acceptable. The battery seems to last for ages on a full charge too. Just sublime!

I was in the same situation (since you only got this a week ago, I assume you too had a choice).. Was thinking about MHP vs TTVJ Slim, and went for the former. It's been amazing. Really love the smoothness of this. Also love the GORGEOUSLY warm-ness.

I also have another 'portable hybrid', and the microphonics on this one are far less pronounced. Very usable on the go. And yes, the battery is pretty good. Not as good as my D10, but still better than all my other portable amps.

Hey Jelt ~ that's spot on. I looked at the Ray Samuels and other standard amps. The most appealing aspect of the TTVJ Milletts is the fact that it is a portable TUBE amp! This really stands out head and shoulders above the current market. The gorgeous warmth of the TTVJ Milletts and a combination with an closed back surround sound logic headphone set like the Ultrasone Pro 900 really make it exceptionally comfortable listening to music. Close your eyes, and it's like hearing music played live in a chamber hall!

What is a D10? I only have a Musical Fidelity X-Cans v2 as a standard amp to compare against, and within a few CDs and minidiscs, I'm already favouring the superiority of the TTVJ Millett's portable amp. Just incredible that it sounds so phenomenal for its size.

D10 = IBasso D10. It's a really popular amp around here... But it's not a portable tube amp
