A Firmware can change that.

So far I'm really digging the UI too. Very quick to navigate around. It's such a treat to flick quickly through your artists rather than using the manual buttons. But the inclusion of the buttons on the top of the player was brilliant too. I found it hard to control scrolling forward or backward through a song using the touch arrows, then I remembered I had the option of using the hard buttons on top. Ahhhh, nothing like some solid physical buttons in combination with the touch screen. Truly best of both worlds.

cn11. I'm glad you got yours. Hopefully I will receive mine this week. How many songs yo have now?
I only have about 320 songs on it at the moment. I'm too wrapped up in listening to it to bother digging into transferring over the rest of my library. I should get started on that soon though.........

Hope you receive yours soon too. It's worth the wait.

No need to get used to it at all... I'm there! It's really nice. I've been reading that it opens up a bit more in the detail, perhaps that S-master amp takes a bit of run in time, and I look forward to that.

You have to get the 780 back asap. It's such a good match. The 780's are very detailed, and with the mellow signature of this player, it's just right.

i just want to confirm: the new machines CAN record even if they are the international versions?

You sure have piqued my interest in these ultrasones
Glad you're liking the combo with the X1000. That might just be my ultimate
portable setup, once I get the X.
Do you still have the Denon D2000? If so, a brief comparison in terms of overall SQ with the X1000 will be welcomed. No need to rush though. LOL

Cheers

Hello everyone,

I am currently considering the Sennheiser IE-8s for use with my X1060B - has anyone had any durability problems with them? I have bought cheaper (£30ish) 'phones of theirs in the past and had them fall apart

I must say the FX500's are truly stunning. Right now im only using them with my Cowon F1 and they sound amazing...Wonder how they will sound with the X!

I've listened a few songs last night and all ripped with WMP 11 WAV high quality paired with IE7. I can say that SQ like day and night compare to my Ipod Touch 1st gen. Everything sounds so much clearer. I can hear things that i've never heard before

The guitar, drum, piano i can hear them and feels like the music taking you in the middle of the stage surrounded by all these instruments.

The vocal sounds with a lot more impact and i can even hear them breathing between the song if you know what i mean

Anyway, i'm glad that i made the right choice to sell my Ipod Touch for this. This 'X' will definately give me a good company for my long 14 hrs flight next month

Anybody know or have suggestions for a small bag that i can put my 'X' and IE7 together?

Thanks

Oh nooooooooo, what a shame!!! A scratch???

Mine had fingerprints on it too, but it turned out they were my own from getting it out of the box

Yesterday, I had a chance to try the X1000 with my PFEs. I only listened to the songs which were already in the display unit, and most of it were pops and hip-hop.

1) no EQ, DSEE: Off, Clear Bass: Off
Not bad, but seem something is losing.

2) no EQ, DSEE: On, Clear Bass: 1-3
Oooo... Good powerfull bass. No distortion and exaggeration.

3) Overall sound. One word: Dark. The bass was great, powerful and clean. The highs were clear but still need a little bit more extension. But, the mids/vocals were seem to be quite laid back. Anyhow, it was still better than lower end Sony NWZ series. A owner of the X1000 had pointed that, X1000 will sound better after 75 hours burn-in. How do others find this?

Beside iTouch 2G, this DAP can drive my PFEs quite good. I am not sure if is there is a sound limiter, because I can listened at volume level 30/30. It supposed to has a powerful S-Master digital amp, but, I think iTouch 2G can play louder.

I really loved the dedicated play/pause, skip/next buttons and volume switch. This really wins my heart.

It is really good DAP, and if the price is much more cheaper, definitely I will buy it.. But for now, I still love my iBasso D10 + laptop/netbook combos ...

Thank you

Oh mate, sorry to hear that, you must be right ****** off. I would be.

Can I ask what you guys are encoding your videos with and what settings? I'm having no luck here. Sorry if this has been covered loads of times before...

Its ok, because im sending it back to get a replacement.
I had a play with it and it seems nice...Nicely built and the jack does wiggle.

Plugged in my FX500's into it and only listened to the stuff that is already on there. I will say this, i was not overwhelmed with the quality of sound. I found it to be ok. All sound equalization was set to off.

As far as the scratch, yes it was very very small, but nonetheless there...and since im paying for a new unit, i should not expect anything less!
