Sh*t happens. Ok, I now know for sure that these pads do not have any holes on the inside piece:

From what the Polar Audio toold me I conclude that only the older Beyer pads have holes in them.

The holes are a big deal as far as I remember.

The Pilot's Beyer pads had no holes, they sounded like crap, but were leather and easy to get.  That was the first attempt at getting Leather pads.

TheLeather Beyer pads with the holes were hard to get, had to order Custom Manufaktor Cans for the most part.

Therefore, a niche for J$ was developed, because the Leather with the holes were practically impossible to get from Beyer.

If only Jeremy could go to business school where they teach you about customer service...

That would be a Win-Win situation.

He gets away with this CRAP business attitude because he has ZERO competition.

Anyone tested moon-audio leather pads? Maybe that is the competition to Jeremy's pads? I really like their design for some reason. It definitely looks nice on their Gragon Series Beyers... Suits to the leather headband. Call me an idiot but I always liked nice-looking headphones although it seems to be some kind of contradiction to the head-fi beliefs.

I have recently send an email to Drew from Moon-audio about the availability of their leather pads and he said they cost $45 if I can remember. Unfortunately, I have forgoten to ask about those damn 'accoustic' holes

I didn't order them. I don't have Beyers. However, I am thinking about purchase of the DT880 and I would definitely want to try leather ear pads if I finally decide to buy these cans over e.g. HD600. Therefore I am interested in any information about those beyer leather pads though I don't own beyer cans.

Actually I am not sure whether theier ear pads are their own design or it's another variation of original Beyerdynamic-made pads. They look different to any Beyer pads and so I think they are moo-audio design.

Somebody should query M-A for some good pix.

Well there have been few Dragon Series headphones for sale on FS forums. I have seen there really nice pics of DT990 with these ear pads and they looked different to those that come from Beyer or J$. You can search for them. Here you go:

The second photo makes me doubt there are any holes in these leather pads but who knows?Even those velour ear pads that are shown have some holes so the leather ones hopefully have them either. It would not be so hard to drill your own holes anyway and I believe these leathers look nice enough to buy them and make the holes yourself.:P

Any sign of Jeremy since his own thread got locked? His last post here on head-fi is from over a month ago.

That's weird. I would have assumed that Jeremy would announce here on head-fi when his v2 Beyer pads would become available.

Think I'll just wait with ordering until he has reported back here.

oh btw, how did you receive that mail? After placing an order through his order form on the website? Cause the site hasn't even been updated yet. Might cause some confusion to folks when they find out that the actual thing is 10 bucks more expensive than it shows on the site.
