I can't say I remember very clearly which forum I read that from..... I heard it changed from OPA627 to OPA275 or something? To be honest I have never used an amp for my PMP before....so I don't know which is better in what ways....or even different at all....Please forgive the newbie

I think zsjoeblack means the uk version of the chips.

Didn't Fang write that more UK chips were on the way, last month and the next coming batches will still have them?

I just noticed on 1st page, at first it states the player uses OPA627, then on the update it says OPA275....

Since I've never used amps I don't know the difference...except there seems to be lots of reviews on OPA627, but not on 275....

Can someone clarify which one is being used, and what is the difference between the two? thanks alot!!!

They are both used in the 801 in different places.

I do not understand it as I am not that knowledgeable about electronics, but it seems obvious from the quote above posted in this thread by Fang that one chip is used with the DAC chip as a filter, and the other chip is used in the amplifier module. Maybe someone else can explain the way the chips are being used better.
