Graham Slee's Solo SRG w/ PSU1 - Page 8

No idea. I am the second owner. Probably have some 500 hours myself the previous owner probably had them for some years too. I doubt there is that much difference after the first hours but I suspect they been on for about a half a year by now lol.

How many hours of burn-in do you have in your Solo? IMO they take a long time to settle and should be kept on at all times. In the first 5-8 hours after turning it on the amp does not sound as good as it does after 24 hours of being on.
I remember mine is Rev1. Now I'm wondering what is the different between Rev 1 and 2 and am I able to mod it to Rev 2.

I am not aware of a mod available to convert your Novo Rev1 to Rev2, but you could buy the board kit for about $120 and build it yourself. Then swap the boards.

Following recommendations by a few posters (myself included) Graham has been able to squeeze a bit more bass of the Solo SRG and has issued an upgrade to the unit. I am being sent one and following burn-in (about 600 hours) I hope to ship the old and new Solo SRG to the same guys who tested it so they can do a side by side of the two units. I am very optimistic and hope the added bass solves this small issue w/ the Solo SRG's sound. More to come!

Thank you for your help... I don't think I'll get another amp in the same price/performance range now... Considering of selling my portables and get SPL amps

Is it still worth it to buy the pre-2008 Solo based on the AD843 opamp? I read the newer Solos are better with a wider range of impedance and I do plan on using my MS-1 (and other Grados) with the Solo but also my pair of DT880s.

So, what do you think?

My understanding is the mod is done and will be shipping to the original evaluators soon, to get impressions about the upgrade. I should have it mid october I think.
