Hi all u wonderful people, i was wondering which of the above mentioned IEM will make a better combo with the Graham Slee Voyager amp. Coz i'll soon blow up my wallet in a true portable setup. I'll get the stuffs from UK via my relatives there as there's nothing available in my country other than the respected shures. Pls feel free to post any other viable option if u may think of..
Btw i really enjoy the sound of my bose QC2 (as i haven't listened to any other high-end iem till now as its unavailable). Oh and i listen to a wide variety of music (moody i am).
Thanks in advance.

Shure SE530's
  1. Best midrange off all universal IEM's. Keep in mind the midrange is the most important frequency since we hear it the most.
  2. The highs are not pronounced in your face and takes a seat in the background. All the details are there but the volume is low. A simple EQ or my mod can fix that up.
  3. The bass is deep, tight, punchy and very well detailed.

Westone 3's
  1. Very extended highs beating the Shure SE530's in this category
  2. The midrange is not as pronounced as the Shure's and not as detailed but still very good.
  3. The bass is very strong, detailed and goes very deep. The bass on the W3's has more volume than the Shure SE530's while maintaining the same detail.

Both IEM's are amazing and all boils down to personal preference. You want a perfect midrange? Go for the Shure's. You want to be on a roller coaster with your music go for the W3's.

If you enjoy your QC2s, then definitely do NOT get the Shure SE530s. They sound like a really good home theater without the subwoofer.

The Westone 3s have much much better base and stronger mids and highs.

Ok like seriously. I decided to eliminate my fanboyism and stop acting like a *********.

Lets be serious now.

The W3's have better highs than the Shure's.
The mids on the Shure's are better than the W3's.
The W3's bass is just more louder than Shure's not more detailed.

It's cool though you prefer louder bass but the bass on the Shure's are perfectly adequate.
