On the 19th, Woo said theyd be bringing the prototype unit. these plans, of course, may have changed

that being said, I'm fairly sure the circuit is identical, except that there is no tube used for the SE->Balanced conversion

I would ask Jack first tho what he thinks of its preamp circuit considering the amp was designed for headphones first I think. (I'm guessing)
There is only one of each input. But I don't have any SE source. All balanced

Does anybody know what the power output is supposed to be on this amp? Also, would anybody happen to know if a tube amp would fair with electronic music (as I do listen to that sometimes)?

Power tube two 6080, 6AS7 type, driver two tube 6SN7 type which unlike the prototype at meet use 12AU7, one 5AR4 or GZ34 as rectifier

It really is a great amp. Unfortunately I only heard it single ended with my HD800 at CanJam. I can only imagine how good it sounds balanced. If I ever get a tube amp, this one is definitely in my scope.

My only complain about WA22 is not enough inputs, and you have to pay big buck to get extra. Mine is on order, I spent, $500 just for extra input and output, that is 1/4 of the amp cost!

Preamp output. It is standard on WA2 but $300 option on WA22. Mine is black by the way

Go with some Tung Sol 5998s in place of the 6080s. I've tried several of the 6080s with Tung Sol and Bendix sounding best of the bunch but heard an immediate better presentation with the 5998s. More open sound with better bass impact.

I got a pair of GEC 6AS7G brown base made in England waiting for my amp. They are the best I think.

The WA22 is not based on the same design as the WA2 (WA2 is OTL and WA22 is transformer coupled). Jack says the WA22 it is closer to the WA6 SE.
