Woo WA22 - Page 16

One of my favorite 6SN7's is the Tungsol from the 1940's, the round plate black glass. I have some in NOS in beautiful boxes with deep blue printing made for the US Navy. The printing is deep in the thick cardboard boxes. The tubes and boxes both look great. :^) Having said that, a correctly biased 1965 6N1P I like better. I also have a bunch of 1952 Sylvania 6SN7's that are very nice. I was lucky and found 16 NOS in a wrecking/salvage yard of all places.

I wish Jack is more up front and communicative when it comes to these updates. I shouldn't have to send an email for an update when it's delayed. He should initiate for the customers.

Yes, the words "very lush" were used alot by everyone else. Now I am hoping I can get more dynamic out of the amp. Maybe T1 is the key?

Man, that buzzing just gets to you, doesn't it? I've had the same problem with the Sophia 274B, praying every time that the buzzing won't start up halfway into a song. Since I haven't had this problem with any combination of tubes and the 5AR4 rectifier, I'm assuming that it's an unfortunate tube mismatch.
I got very loud buzz when pair Princess 274B with 6F8G, too loud I don't even want to listen to the amp . No buzz with other tubes thought. EML is quite with all driver tubes I have.

Mine was also delayed due to a parts shortage and then again with parts coming in through customs. Just got the notice that it's ready and will ship today or tomorrow. It's been a long wait (October 19) but I'm thrilled!

I ordered my on the October 5th and still don't have a shipping date. Is yours black by chance?

I was wondering if Johnny Moondog's was black. This would indicate a shortage of silver chassis (since both of ours are delayed).

Could be... Or it could be the parts in WA22, so it would affect both black and silver chassis.

Mine was plain wa22 in silver as well. I'm assuming that the internals of all wa22 are the same regardless of chassis color. Again I ordered mine more than TWO WEEKS ahead of Johnny Moondog.

That is odd.

Did you ask Jack about it? I mean.. he's got some explanation to do if you actually ordered and paid prior to him or me..
