Null Audio - experiences?

I placed my order on the 25th of April. I had to ask for confirmation since I never heard from anyone after I placed my order. No tracking number. I was told because of labour day, they hadn't received the number yet and I'd have it soon. I've since asked for it again and haven't heard anything, and I thought I would have received the cable by now. Really poor communication so far, and really slow shipping.

Anyone here dealt with Null Audio before? What were your experiences?

He only makes the cable to order, which means that he has to hand braid each each time, so that takes a while, giving how good his braiding is.

Sometimes he does ship items without informing, so maybe that has happened. Probably send an email again to check?

Ah, I didn't know he makes them to order.. he should tell people that so we're not wondering what's taking so long.

He replied that it was already shipped, that was on the 30th. He later sent me a tracking number after I asked again for it, and it shows that it shipped the 6th. So perhaps it got held up at the post office for a week or..... he didn't actually ship it when he said he did.

I hope it's worth the wait (and $$).

I've ordered one of his cables for my TF10s, so we'll see. I noticed he's made a new cable for $699, which is overkill, but if he hand braids those tiny wires in it, then it's at the very least crazy.

Received mine today. 'Silver luster' he says....

THEY LOOK WHITE!

and..... I don't like the sound.

if its silver wiring, may take quite awhile to burn in.

Oh really? I didn't know burn-in was required for wires...... hmmm

How long would you say?

Well i normally buy my cables used but read silver takes 100-200 hours? What new ICs I do get I just use them and forget about it

Eep! That's a long time... man, burning in the IE8 drove me nuts... I just don't have the patience for that.. especially when I want to try the UM3X so bad! But.... I really should hold onto them just in case, shouldn't I? I dunno... it's hard to imagine the sound would change so much that I'd like them.

Yep, its totally up to you. If you really hate the sound that much, I doubt it would change much from what you're hearing. I'd say to sell em and try something else.

Leave them with music playing in them overnight, or 24/7 for a few days and try them at intervals.

When was the last anyone heard from Mr. Kevin Wang from Null Audio?

I had initiated my remold order last mid-March.  Contact in the beginning was intermittent, but have heard absolutely nothing since early April.

Unique Melody is poorly represented by this distributor.
