That would be cool.
A serious question: How do you get your DIY items on the airplanes and safely to the port-o-call?

I'm interested in relatively local DIY meets (ME/NH/VT/MA).
While I presently do not have a function generator, I do have bench and portable fluke DMMs, bench (tek) and portable (fluke) scopes, hp oscillator, hp frequency counter, and hp bench psu. Plus a soldering station. And a tube tester.

"And this plaid thermos, and this paddle-ball game. That's all I need!"

We should try to set something up this summer Mark, I've got the function generator part covered now. I'm sure between the two of us we've got enough spare parts to throw together something, uh, interesting.

I'm all for it. I have a neat little collection of DACs going on, too. Want to run them off soon!

BTW, the Hickok is a straight 600, confirmed last night... at last.

If you're thinking of traveling with a soldering iron, wire, wire cutters, etc it's probably best to ship them to the destination. Airport security would take one look and you'd suddenly become a terrorist, at least here in the US.
