Your DIY skills seem much better than your photographing skills. Looking good though, lots of gear.

yes, this needs to become a trend.

I recall taking a mini workstation to the first meet I attended and folk thought I was bonkers (that hasn't changed much) but I no longer cart my box-o-goodies to meets.

great work btw ..dB

Man talk about a "Nerd Fest", I bet it was a lot of fun! Envious I do not know enough to carry your bags.

"I can imagine a diy build classroom at meets, where people can buy a kit like a cmoy, ra-1 or mini3 and build one that day. Maybe they have to bring their own soldering iron."

no fires in fact. A few little sparks from 700V here and there, but that's it.

Not so good, too much work. Luckily summer is almost here and I will get some more time to breathe soldering fumes!!!

Well, an hd800 mini-meet with soldering irons will put that right...

Is that a STAX brand amp hiding by all that DIY insanity? You will have to show me how to build that thing with the four huge caps and four big transistors the SRD is hungry.

That would appear to be the top panel off my old SRM-007t....

This is genious! I would give gold to come to such a meet, how much I couldn't learn from the masters themselves.
pabbi nice builds , is that guy pmillet? or am I mistaking.
From how far do you guys come sometimes to attend such meets? I'd love canjam or such meets to be organised in belgium, I'd even help organize it or set it up.

Nope - I just have a passing resemblance to PMillett - normally I would say I'm flattered.

The 4 cap thing is SWT's F5 - gotta get him to let us know how it sounds.

Steve and I drove about 200 miles each - paltry by Texas standards.
