Hi everyone. (Look, I did use the 'search-before-posting' =P) I'm in real need for advise right now ppl.
I've recently purchased one of the best monitors money can pay. It's a Dell U2711 that arrived 2 hours ago. It's a good monitor. But you know, it's been two hours since I got it and I'm already thinking that I don't need such a bigass expensive thing. It's not only for the sake of 'need efficiency' that I'm considering refunding it. It's because I feel bad. I mean, I do feel bad for having spent $1000 in something I freakin don't need. I knew I didn't need it when I decided to purchase it, but I didn't know I was gonna feel so bad for owning it and being conscious that there're just so many better things to do with that money in life.
I mean, I swear you I can hardly believe I'm typing this (for I'm doing it from an ASUS G73jh), but I need you 'thousands of $ rig owners', and anybody wanting to help to give me some advise about this.
Thank you a lot.
PS I'm writing this here because I really don't think I could find a more active/HiFi-Wise forum, and since I've already seen some threads concerning general rigs (not only Headphones, but the whole stuff) I think this will be OK here.

I am now. I have about every headphone I love, and I've heard a ton of different headphones to gather experience. Also the music I listen doesnt really benefit from anything higher end, AND I am already stretched to the limits of my hearing differences. Getting anything higher is so pointless other than for serious case of upgraditis. Its bit sad really, spending many years right from the teens on finding out and getting a great audio equipment and now I have it and now I am finished, headphones anyway. If I ever move to a proper house where I can restart my old love with speakers, the journey will begin again but now I am done indefinetly.

Return it and get an HP LP2475w if you're having doubts. It's a little smaller but quite a bit cheaper.
Absolutely get a colorimeter if you haven't already. It's critical if you want to use your investment to the best of its capability- esp. on the LP2475w. The reds will make your eyes bleed otherwise.

As soon as my Stax O2mk2 rig arrives I'll be content for a very long time I think, except that I still need a better IEM (not a fan of my W3). But since I rarely go out any more or do much traveling, I've been getting by with EQ'ing the W3 and being fairly satisfied with that, although the EQ does drain the battery faster on the MP3 player.

I am happy, but I'm not.
I love my K271's, and they sound good unamped. But I'm not happy because I know I need an amp, and it's been almost 3 weeks and it's still not here yet.

I'm very happy with my rig (as I should be lol, poor wallet). But now that I have an SACD player I'm buying SACDs and expensive original masters left and right. I just bought the recent SACD remaster of Dire Straits - Dire Straits for $60...
Someone help me!

this is current gear.
G08 > BA > LCD2 / RS1
G08 > HR Bal Home > HD650 / HD800
G08 > HEV70 > HE60
happy with the above. but may want to get a cd player that plays sacd (looking at mcd 500). and i am curious about other balanced amps (sonett / wa22 / pinnacle) to see how they compare although not looking to purchase. as for other headphones, the he60 is enough to satisfy my stat cravings as i generally prefer dynamics, and i would like to spend more time with an r10 but have little interest in purchasing one due to price.
