DT 931 - Now what do I do with them?

I bought a pair of used DT 931 at a great price. I plugged them into my portable Meta 42 and even with my MP3 player as a source these things are incredible. Wow! what detail. So this is what headphones are supposed to sound like!

The question now is though, how do I start to realize the potential of these great cans? I get the feeling that using them through my portable Meta and my PCDP (new old school Aiwa XP-500) or my R50 is not really letting these babies shine. It's true that even played out of my Santa Cruz soundcard and into the amp these cans blow away any of my other headphones but where does their potential lie?

Money's tight and I need to keep this to a "bedroom" type rig. Any suggestions on where to start? Source, amps? Can I use my computer soundcard and a decent amp and get at least some of the potential out of these cans? Help!

I'd say get a new source first, as I have a Santa Cruz myself, and the sound quality isnt really anything special. You will be far better off with a Terratec EWX24/96, DMX 6-fire etc...
