WTB: Arcam DV27(A) or similar

I'd like to upgrade to a source which can play the odd DVD for entertainment - multichannel / hi-res formats aren't a necessity, thus the 'A' variant I could take or leave - while still offering exceptional Redbook performance for a primary purpose of two channel listening; my research thus far has led me toward a used version of the DV27 as an excellent candidate as I don't need the additional abilities of the later units in the DVxx line. I would like to note that while I think this source is close to ideal for my purposes, I'd happily entertain other thoughts and recommendations for suitable substitutes.

Hoping to pick one up at a reasonable price from someone who does need HD video and/or has a priority on high resolution audio formats, and is looking to move their DV27 on to a good home. Let me know if that happens to be you!

I used to own DV27A. While it was an awesome (and expensive) CD/DVD player back in the day, it can be beaten with more affordable newer technology. A cheaper DV135 beats it in audio too. Main problem was it had a noisy Power Supply. DV135's PS was a lot cleaner. DACs such Oritek 4.1 produced better clarity and better instrument separation from what I recall. Excellent picture though!
