I don't hype. I know a lot of people like to think that those of us who are excited about a product are doing so to hype it or to add to the hype. But I don't hype. I've got all sorts of headphones and have never gone on and on about any one of them, or at least not to the exclusion of others that I like.
So I won't hype now, even though I want to. I want to because the JH13, in my mind--based on my considerable headphone and IEM listening experiences, is one of the best products I've ever encountered--even as compared to the usual suspect high end full size headphones--and is clearly among the very best in the IEM world--probably
the best, and certainly better than the UE 10 Pro which I compared them to directly and are an excellent product in their own right, but "Sorry, Senator, I know the JA13, and you Sir (UE 10 Pro) are no JA13"... and I want to hype because Jerry is a great guy in many ways, not the least of which is as a strong family man and successful small business owner who deserves our support and encouragement... but I won't hype.
I'll just say that I've listened to the JA13 and had a great conversation with an impressive gentleman who has done me a huge favor by kindly extracting another $1k out of my pocket to help support my headphone/IEM junkie habit. To call him a pusher would be completely unfair as it would understate his roll in all of this. He's a world class chemist who has developed an intriguing new way of adding more potency to my drug of choice. (Music, of course. Don't you read immtbiker's signature?)
It would be wrong to hype. I'd never do that... but I have left a set of ear impressions with Jerry (thanks to Head-Fi's good friend Uncle Wilson for that!) and am now in the process of evaluating various color and artwork options, and will be placing my order soon.. very soon! I'm thinking the Kansas Jayhawks logo would do the trick!
