^^^That usually is the case, just a pair of good sounding capacitors would probably cost more then cost of the amp! Then we start changing cable, resistors, other caps., tube rolling!!!

Although the amp is made in China and I have made a search of it on the web, I have not been able to find anything excepted for Musical Paradise who market out of Canada and on ebay: http://web.musicalparadise.ca:8103/i...products_id=68

There does not seem to be any other source for purchase of the amp???

That's certainly possible - Musical Paradise might have commissioned someone in China to make it just for them? I have no idea. I bought mine from Musical Paradise - and shipping from Canada is much cheaper for me than from China!

^^^Just seems silly to order something from Canada that was made over in China which is just cross the border from here. We will see, I have contacted Garry Huang of Musical Paradise.

Man, I want to try this:

I bet that the caps are cheap inside, but with sime effort and about $100...I bet wonders could be done.

It is nice looking. Works better for speakers than headphones, though.

^^^ I think it would look even nicer without those tube guards!

=(

Actually I think the tube guards look kinda cool when the amp is actually on and the tubes are glowing.

I dunno. I have the Opera Cyber 10, which uses 6550/KT88's but is probably otherwise very similar (looks similar), and while a fine amp, is not as good as my Decware CSP-2, DV 337, or either of my Singlepower amps.

^^^Just wondering how the 2A3's would sound???

Just unboxing the Audiotailor "Jade" right now, I met with CK Lau to pick it up - partner of Audiotailor Joseph Lau.

Musical Paradise quoted $69 for surface shipping and did not quote the airmail cost - my guess is that it probably cost more then the amplifier, LOL.

Yeah since you like in HK, it will be expensive to ship it from Canada
