Livewires CALIFORNIA- STAY CLEAR of them.

This is NOT about the Nashville office..
This is about the California Office. i want that to be clear..

This is my personal experience.

I am just wondering if there are any other folks out there that has dealt with the California office of Live wires IEMs.
My story goes back about 2 months and is documented here.

I should have gone with the Nashville office but i did not.

For me the customer service has been non existent And i have a serious seal problem to my right ear from the day i got them.
The right ear breaks seal if i breath. they are not usable to me at all.
Not good on my Ipod and especially in live touring bass player situation . that is what i do for a living. I am a bass player on a national tour,

After unproductive and repeated attempts to contact John Diles of Earpeace Technologies by office Phone, his personal cell phone, site emails and personal emails about the faulty improper fit of the product that he sent me, i have resorted to letting the world know here.
Perhaps that will get his attention to resolve my issue.

We as consumers have no other outlet when dealing with a shoddy business other than here.

From the day that i received the IEMs from John Diles at Livewires California i have had a right ear fit issue.

It took two weeks for him to return an ( I want my money back) phone call that i sent him after he did not return a few calls that i placed to see if he could help me with my issue. He blamed it on me, saying i did not know how to install the ears correctly and then asked me to send him photos. .so i did send him pics.. he called me to tell me they are not fitting right in my right ear. I knew that already.
( Note: i know how to install IEMs, i have used different custom molds for a while since i am a pro touring bass player by trade. After my problem with LW CA i got a set of Westones ES2s and they fit perfectly right from the start.. end NOTE)

my LW CA are as if they may have used the wrong mold on my right ear. it does not fit my ear...
LW Cali has been going through an upheaval and corporate turnover from what he said to me. Spliting with his old partner etc.. and using a new manufacturing facility.. could that be the issue Jone Diles?
And then he blamed it on that issue..

All i wanted to do was return the IEMS to him and have them molded correctly. He did not answer that question and said to call him back in a day or two. So i did call him.. no answer.
Then I tried again a few days later, then two week later, Then i have been trying to email him to get my issue resolved.
I originally wanted them to be fixed. Since he has not called or emailed me about the problem in the past month i changed my mind.

Now I only WANT MY MONEY BACK under the 30 day guarantee.


It is clear that he is avoiding others and myself regarding our issues and it is frustrating.

When i ordered from him on 1-30-2009 he said the best thing would be to send him a check. So i did instead of using my CC.
I being a trusting person sent the check for $249. If i knew what i know now i would not have.

From what i understand, since i paid with a check i cant get my money back without going through legal channels at this point. Another hassle because of shoddy workmanship and severely damaged Customer Service.

So he John Diles, has my money, made an inferior product through his new manufacturing lab and sent them to me. they did not fit. I tried to contact him to have them adjusted.. he has to this day avoided all calls and emails to help me with teh exception of the one day he called me to say it was my fault for not knowing how to install them in my ears.. (blame game).

Now i want my money returned and he will not honor his guarantee , and i cant even get to talk with him about that guarantee.

The California CS is appalling, non existent, and he basically stole my money from what it seems to me.

So if you want Livewires ( they changed their name recently) go get them form the Nashville office. They have it together and are not affiliated with the CA office at all anymore.

STAY CLEAR of the California office. and John Diles of EarPeace Technologies, Inc. CA.. They are a mess...

wow.. perhaps some in in CA read this post today.. I got a call from the secretary Martha.. She was going to send my refund check today on her voice mail message to me.
I called them right back.. they are going to send me a check today... but only after i send them the LW.. hey im all good with that.. but like i said in another thread they have been so shoddy with their service how do i know they are not going to not send the check and also keep my IEMs when they get them.. well i guess i will take a final leap of faith and get these out to them today. then they will send my check to me for full refund..
Lets see.

I will report back as the story unfolds further.

I Hate drama!!!!!

A good example of how NOT to do business. I'm surprised that this is regarding Livewires, I always thought both branches had good customer service.

I am so glad that i ordered out of the Nashville office, they have been nothing short of professional.

I had to send mine back for a refit and Catherine has kept me posted EVERY step of the way, i should have them back at the start of next week.

MAKE SURE YOU ORDER FROM CATHERINE NEAL AT FIDELITY EARPHONES. You will be glad that you did.

Hopefully it all works out for you man. What a frustrating experience.

Yes , I will order a set from the Nashville office once i get my money returned from the CA office.. I have a set of westone ES2 for my gigging but think i will got the Nashville Fidelity in ears for my Ipod etc. the heck with the CA office... the two are not affiliated anymore.... thank God.
+1 to Catherine and Neal in nashville,, very nice and informed folks..

You should also consider Sleek Customs. They are $50 more than livewires, but they have a much faster turnaround (1 week) and are more customizable. Not only that, but the service and communication has been unbeatable. They respond to all emails within a few hours and they are even rushing my order because I am going out of the country.

I wish i saw this thread 2 and a half months ago... Im still waiting for them to return my money. When they wanted the money, it was charged right away but giving back the money thats another story. I think John is avoiding all his emails except the ones where people are interested in geting a pair of LW. This is the worst company i have ever dealt with and I hope they go under, after i get my money of course.

I was thinking of going to this company but i emailed them and they didnt respond to me... Im interested in the customs but I dont want an experience that i got from LW.

I got a call today.. they said they would put my check in the mail today on my voicemail message.. i called and they gave me a few hoops to jusmp through which i will.. So i am goig to FEDEX the IEMS back to them with a signature required. so i can know that someone there actually got them.. they said to ship them to their PO box...
Yeah right... Fedex wont deliver to a PO box.. plus if i did send it to a PO box they can say they never got them back and then they would not send me my check.. they are so %^*&( up!

So did you return your ears yet? are you waiting on a check to come back from them?

I did a gig today with a guitar player that got his LW from the Nashville office.. He got them in 10 days.. and they are perfect...And the CS was incredible he says.. They also came with the new Pelican case.. not as nice as my Westone case but he is happy with the Nashville folks..
I think it is going to be my mission as i do my travels to let folks know about the CA LW mess.. and steer them to the Nashville..

EDITED: my very un polite remark.

I am so pissed at the BS that John Diles has said, done etc.. I dont want any person that works hard for their money to spend it on a place that does not care

I sent them back about 2 weeks ago and they said it takes 3-4 days for the money to show up in my account because i paid with my visa. Its been a week now and nothing, so i phoned them and they said "thats funny it shows it hasnt been transfered yet" the customer service is so bad i just want to phone visa and let them deal with it if i can. Im sorry to hear your getting the run around aswell.

wow.. now i am scared.. I have them in the box and ready to ship. but i paid by check.
they said the check number that they were sending me was #2450 ... that sounded too generic to me.. they are full of pooo. that is my gut feeling....
