Dug these out today. 1970's finest. AKA the Rotel RH-711 Supreme.
Nice pic how do they sound
Surprisingly non atrocious for 70's vintage. Bass waffle as was prominent at the time, but decent detailing and soundstage. I suspect with some internal damping they could run with the middle of the pack today.
Radio Shack Realistic Pro-60. They have Koss embossed on them but I couldn't tell you what model they are based on. Very lightweight so they may be from the late 80's-early 90's. They came with homemade cushions but I replaced them with a some Earzonk copies of Grado L cushions that fit over my ears because of the Pro-60's flat baffles. They came with the original box and spec sheet and the spec sheet says 100 ohms. They respond to my amp quite well.
Looks like the Koss HV1A gussied up in RS livery. For their day they were an exceptional phone.

That's a KOSS HV/X rebadge, which was their flagship in the 80's. It's supposed to be pretty good.
I have a set of Audio Technica AT-703s and would be interested to know other people's impression of them as my ears are not so refined yet. I have some thoughts about them but just layman's vague generalities. How would they compare to the sextetts or what would be a comparable modern set of cans?
Thanks and this thread is really interesting. Some really beautiful engineering.
