There are some interesting specs on the ID ,when i saw Christofs name on it i removed the post as quickly as possible, if somebody is interested take a look.

What does this post even mean? "Interesting specs"? What does that mean?

How about answering the question: do you have a relationship with silvercore? And if so, what is it?

Perhaps you have no vested interest here, and just happen to be a fanboy, which is fine. But your consistent refusal to answer even the most basic questions coupled with your posting history do nothing for your credibility. How about just posting some clear, direct answers instead of haiku.

Leny was concerned why Christof is using this particular tube 812a
the answer is
the reason I take the 812a is the high µ of 39 at 480V, the 35mA at -3V Ug and the usefull transformer matching- you can see this on Lenys profile.
I was posting about this because i am also interested.I removed my post because Christof name was on it.

Now i am getting interested why are you so concerned about my postings.
Do you have a relationship with companys wich dominate here on these threads.

I would be very happy to audition this amp. I am located in Copenhagen, just one country up from Germany. I can compare it with 2 tube amps, a Single Power MPX3 Slam SE and a MAD Ear+ HD, and a solid state amp The Blue Circle SBH (auditioned here by Skylab and myself, sperately). I can also compare the preamp to my deHavilland UV2 and custom Blue Circle SBH preamps. I have no relationship to the owner, but I am both interested in and a bit skeptical of the typology.

What rules did i just violate?

@ immtbiker: throw me out if that is not fitting

Tangerine never got any financial advantage.

More than that he bought a never existing amp with prepaying 2.100€ for my building his "dream amp" with 100th but after some discussion he choose for the better 812A. A design like the amps I had with me at ETF in Holland. For my work he waited about four months, paid the second 2.100€ and got the amp. He was not disappointed, opened the thread to tell about his luck.

I think it was my fault to go to the thread, just wanted to answer questions about missmatched OPT and the unstylish tubes I love. This is not possible, so we will not do this.

I think we have just some (over)exubarance about a new product, which is great when it works out. Custom developments don't always work out so well, but good to know this one did.

It would be nice to get additional observations, to see just where this circuit stacks up against some of the similarly priced options, like the ttvj 307a - then I suspect it all comes down to taste, emotional (and financial) investments aside.

But, it being a custom development, and low production, means very few will ever be heard, making it all the more difficult for us to all rationally discuss it's merits.

The answer is no, I do not have a relationship with any company on this board, with the exception of having received 2 free IEMs from Ultimate Ears, which is widely known. I happen to know many of the vendors that market products to this community (as do many members), but other than generally wishing them health and prosperity, I have no vested interest in their success.

I am concerned by your posts because shilling is an ever-increasing problem here. Thus, I have a healthy and hefty skepticism of new posters who cannot find a single flaw in the equipment they have recently purchased, or who cannot seem to provide an objective review. If this offends you, I apologize. Fortunately, this forum provides ample opportunity to establish one's credibility. Further, there are plenty of members here who are less skeptical than I. Perhaps that audience views my stance as intolerant. So be it.

I don't find you intolerant at all, and the shill factor is a possibility, but willing to give a little leeway... especially at that price level. Now, if it were a $300 'best ever, beats everything else' pcb in a standard 'Chinese design' case, then my shill factor would be much higher.

In looking at the prior posts, there were other things, and some prior equiptment to indicate a fair level of sophistication, if true.

Finally, I think we are sometimes harder on the ESL contingent, where the communication breaks down somewhat in translation. But, at the point where shill is obvious, hammer down with the business end of the shovel.

Note I did also call him (gently nudged) in the hd800 thread, indicating this was the best amp for phones very few of have heard. Perhaps just acclimation to HF, and the natural high from a high $$$ deal gone good.

Time will tell.

A voice of reason and tolerance, at last. I personally think the design looks very interesting. There is an 812 power amp that shares the same single stage design, but the description is in German which i don't do.

So, if i go to the email and ask Cristoff a bunch of questions and then post the answers, does that make me a shill?

Me and who else?

I don't understand why Christof was not allowed to post in this thread, to explain his design, considering that the Benchmark people were allowed to post in their thread. What's the rule?
