tangerine, you appear to be very arrogant.

When I said "The characteristics given in the datasheet indicate that the 812A is not an ideal choice for this application." I was talking as an electrical / electronics engineer with many years of experience.

It is not important for you to agree with me. Indeed if you have spent a small fortune on the amplifier I can understand your psychological desire to defend it. Fortunately most people with some tube experience will ignore your 'fan-boy' defensive responses and instead make up their own mind by refering to the datasheet to which I provided a link.

I stand by my previous comments: "The characteristics given in the datasheet indicate that the 812A is not an ideal choice for this application. Hence it seems very possible that it was chosen primarily for it’s visual impact."

Have a nice day.

Judging from the tenor of the postings, it looks more like he is financially motivated by the success of this amplifier in one way or another.

It would be nice now to hear a review from someone who has posted good reviews here before. But I suppose then Sivercore would have to provide an amp.... so maybe it is not likely to happen...

Did you receive a discount on your order or did you pay the full retail price?

Not even close to the build quality of a Woo WA5. judging from the pictures posted, I find the wiring a bit sloppy.

Not really. What you are listening to is art. There is also a certain amount of art, or perhaps craft, in being able to write an objective review.

Listening actually is art, imho. Especially if it comes to comparing this to that and figuring out why one likes this but not that. But just listening to music can be art too, I suppose.

I would argue that those are all skills; nothing artistic about it.

That depends on if the act of listening adds to the creation. I haven't thought so much about it I have to admit. I suppose both are possible.

4200 euro is the price you have to pay for it, i did it.Discounts are often on products that are not worth the asking price.

Oh, what a bunch of horse****. Tangerine, did you or did you not just sign your last post "Cheers, Christof," which is the name that the Silvercore rep was using when he was posting under the ID "silvercore" earlier in this thread?

Please, in your very next post, disclose your relationship with Silvercore. I am also reporting this thread.
