Insides of the Grado RA-1

Can anybody please upload or PM me some PICS of the inside of the Grado RA-1. I tried to transplant the insides of mine into a cool box that looks like a book, but the soldering is so loose, three of the wires fell off of the Volume pot and two wires off of the 1/4 jack and since,"Stupid Me" I didn't take some Pics of the wiring before I started pulling everything, and now I don't know which wire to solder back on to which connection.

Thanks QQQ,

I'll have to check them out in a couple of hours. I'm at work and the firewall won't let me see the PICs. I'll check them out when I get home.

Ouch, you should have just built the RA-1 circuit from scratch instead of tampering with a genuine unit. What do you intend to do with old wood enclosure? I remember seeing a webpage in which someone drilled out some of the inner walls to increase the size of the hollow area and put a pimeta in there .

I suggest another RA-1 drama thread. Also, x2 at tampering with the wood enclosure that's the RA1's only redeeming factor. A Pimeta would probably fit though.

CapQ, your pics don't work. All I see is a message in Chinese. I can't read it, but I'm sure it's safe to guess that it says something about not directly linking pictures from www.erji.net.

Oops I can see them here and maybe they are living in my cache files.
Sorry I will upload them again

Next time you sell your RA-1 and build 21 cmoys with goooood parts for the value of the RA-1.
Then you buy 20 Book-like enclosures, put the cmoys in and sell them for 50 bucks each.
Thats economic...and youve got a nice cmoy with parts of your choice.
;-)

Two things that intrigue me:

Maybe those huge caps are what makes the circuit able to drive the transducers properly?

Can that jack be THAT cheap looking?
