Hello

This happen again to my Shure SE530 and I don't know if I should send it back.

Is there any DIY solution for this?

Last time I sent it back to Shure for the exact same reason.

Shure Canada warranty service is great but it takes 3-4 weeks.

Any suggestion would be great!

What date were your Shure's manufactured? (It should say on the bottom of the box.)

Should I use super glue and put it back together? Anyone have experience with that?

NO, send it back!

Send them back. This **** shouldn't happen with a MSRP $499 IEM. Period.

Dont use superglue... I tried that... then panicked .... and realized it would look horrible.

Send it back, and shure will replace them no questions asked. I sent my package in and got it back in 4 days.

Actually, anything can happen if you don't properly take care of stuff. I'm sure that a 2000 OmegaII would break down aswell if I kept on pulling and twisting on the rubber strain relief. when taking the se530's out, just grab onto the housing not on the wire/rubber housing I think thats what led to my problem.

The SE530 are pictured with people on stage by Shure.. and they can't take a little abuse?
Again, this REALLY should not happen with IEM's that cost this much.

When I take it off, I always hold it by the rubber and wire...

Is there a correct way to take it off? Am I the only one with this problem cause this is the second time I have to send it back in.

Are the new ones manufacture in 2009 better?

May try taking them off by the actual housing instead to project longevity. Either way, I would send them in this time. Better off with getting an already good pair.

Since my replacement I've been taking them off using the housing

I sent my scl4 back, and it is going back to me(total 3 weeks back and forward)
why not send it back since the service is awsome
