Hayley Westenra appreciation and Happy Birthday!

I know there are maybe only a few fans of Hayley here and I realize that her singing isn't for everyone...but her voice melts my heart.

April 10 she will be 22 years old. Ten years ago she recorded her first CD (bottom left) in a studio...which now sells for up to $1,000!(very limited pressing). She has 2 more recent releases from 2008 & 2009 that are not shown (Hayley Sings Japanese Songs 1 & 2)

Happy Birthday Hayley

( I will understand if this gets moved to general discussion)

She looks like Chelsea Clinton in that last picture.

Great voice. I love the song Scarborough Fair and her version is about the best I've heard. To be so young, she is quite a talent.

Didn't know her manually by name until Music Of The Spheres. Great voice though.

Haha, Hayley's from where I live.

She used to go to Burnside High School here.
Known about her down here for a number of years :P

Hey, that's cool. I knew there were some members from New Zealand but I don't recall seeing your exact location. I believe Hayley is at home with family currently.

She is awesome. She is also now a member of Celtic Woman.

"River Of Dreams" is a 2008 compilation with selections from her 2003 debut "Pure" up to 2007's "Treasure". This would be a good CD as a starter.

Her "Best Of", how apt. Thanks.

Happy birthday Hayley!!!

I got her "Pure" album on K2HD Mastering CD at the Salon Son & Image show at Montreal last week.  Sounds great!

Can't wait for her new CD.  Any idea of the exact release date?  It's not on Amazon yet (not even for preorder).
