Please help me to choose among these two Sennheisers.
Which one has better sound quality, HD 25-1 II or HD 380 Pro? HD 25-1 II are more expensive, which suggests that it should sound better, but the specs say that HD 380 Pro has wider frequency range, and it's newer (potentially may use more modern tech).
Which one is more comfortable for prolonged (all-day) use? HD 25-1 II put pressure on ears, but they are lighter and the pressure in Newtons is less than that of HD 25-1 II (but HD 380 Pro distributes the pressure over larger area). Also I'm worrying whether circumaural headphones will make my ears sweat when used all day long, as opposed to the supra-aural HD 25-1 II. Or maybe pressure that is constantly applied to ears by supra-aural headphones is a worse evil?
And which model of these two should provide better noise isolation? HD 25-1 II isolates pretty well, but better is always welcome, as noise isolation is on eof my key requirements for the headphones. I have no possibility to try HD 380 Pro and will have to order my choice from eBay.
I have tried to wear my friend's HD 25-1 II for a couple of hours and the comfort surprised me. But that were only a couple of hours and not the whole day, and I have never weared serious circumaural headphones for more than half an hour. At home I have inexpensive circumaural Panasonic wireless headphones (for watching TV), they are less comfortable than HD 25-1 II, they press hard and make my ears sweat. Of course I should not compare cheap headphones to the professional ones, but it makes me realize that not all circumaurals are more comfortable that supra-aurals.
Please don't suggest other brands, the choice is among these two.
