WE HAD A CHANGE IN DATE AND LOCATION AS OF 4/8/09 - THE ROOM RATES ARE ALSO LOWER THAN AT THE DOUBLETREE, EVEN WITHOUT A GROUP DISCOUNT.

Red Lion Denver Hotel
4040 Quebec Street, Denver, CO 80216
Rooms: Aspen 3A/3B

Tel: 303-321-6666
Fax: 303-355-7412
E-mail: denvercentralsales@redlion.com

Hotel Web site: RED LION DENVER CENTRAL

Map Hotels In Denver, CO - Map & Driving Directions - Hotel Accommodations in Colorado - Red Lion Hotels

All MOTs/vendors are welcome to attend (with the exception of Mikhail @ Singlepower by general consensus of attendees), please send me a PM if you are interested in coming.

ALL ARE WELCOME - Just post you are coming, you don't need PM to ask permission. No fees to attend but donations to pay for the room are appreciated. Just leave a post in this thread if you're coming and list any equipment you're bringing. Any voluntary cash donations on the day of the meet would be appreciated. Donations will cover the exhibit room, and anything extra will go back to HEAD-FI.

No plans for food on-site. The hotel has a restaurant and there are several restaurants down the street in the Quebec St shopping plaza.

UPDATE 7/9/09:

(1) Meet setup is at 8:30 AM and breakdown has to start at 6 PM. No one *needs* to arrive early for setup though unless they want to, and we'll have to clear the room by 7 PM. Volunteers will be helpful for breakdown.

(2) Everyone should bring enough power equipment for their own gear, and bring as much gear as you want to - there's plenty of space.

(3) Cash donations would be highly appreciated - although there's no entry fee, this event didn't exactly cost $0 to put together.

(4) An even bigger regional Head-Fi meet will be coming up on October 2-4 at the same location as this year's Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. Plan now to attend! More info here: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f11/he...ficial-432237/

(5) The Colorado Summer Meets will continue next year! Neither date or location have been determined, so just keep an eye here in the Meets forum for the info early in 2010!

UPDATE 7/17/09:

See this new post PHOTOS OF HOTEL and Free Stuff corrections for photos of the approach to the hotel showing how easy it is to drive past the hotel and get stuck entering I-70 freeway.

We'll have to check and see about that. Maybe I'd split a room with you the night before so that I and my son don't have to drive up early in the AM, and then you could stay at my house that night before driving back.

Someone asked about a group rate and we can get one, but we need to report about how many rooms we'll need before we can get a firm offer for a discount rate. If we have at least 5 out-of-town people interested (the more the better), then we can approach them about the group rate. I don't have the standard rate here right now, but can update this post with it soon.

So, the more out-of-town interest there is, the better the chances for a group rate.

Mmmmm...Doubletree cookies. My wife makes the trip over to that Doubletree every year to get me cookies for my birthday.

So, two rooms so far?

@plaidplatypus - I have cpap so I wont snore (much), and I have IEM so I don't have to hear you. My 11 yr old son only talks in his sleep near wake up time

@Ray Samuels - noted as well

Yeah, I and Blutarsky will just have our ES3X there for people to fondle. You should PM P0wderH0und23 and see when you can make an appointment for impressions. I may end up buying some UM3X before the meet just to review vs the W3, but I don't know yet for sure.

I'm going to put you down as a yes!

Do you have any gear you would like to bring, or hope that someone will bring to listen to?
