That was a misprint we caught right after the first shipment. This is being corrected on the next run of boxes. Currently a sticker will be placed over the mistake with the correct specs, which are:

UM3X Specifications

Sensitivity: 124dB/mW

Frequency response: 20 Hz -18 kHz

Impedance: 56 ohms

Driver: Three balanced armature drivers with a passive three-way crossover.

would that make it more valuable?
Thank you for the correction.

I've taken the liberty to copy the posts below to the new UM3X thread as I believe they may now be more useful over there. So perhaps theory_87 can carry on with his/her first impressions there?

Added the much need sparkle that se530 lack. but not to the extend of tf10p. I just thought i end my portable journey with T1 but um3x force me to open my wallet once more.

Than either you go um56 or ES3x, else stay with ck100.

All my finding is base on um3x with um56 hence I do not know how universal ear sleeves will fare

Pulled the trigger...

In the end I always find the best way to decide if I personally like something or not is to spend some time with it and just listen.

So I just ordered a pair from Mike at Frequency City Sound & Lighting Ltd with their special offer.

I'm looking forward to the shootout in my ears next week with my current faves...the Westone 3. Such fun!

I'm not much in the way of reviews and descriptive prose, but if I'm so inspired I'll try and relay my thoughts. Usually I just say, hey I like that better than that...I know really scientific!

I swear every time on log on here it costs me money...lol!

Cheers,

what special offer from Freq City Sound? Are they offering W3 or UM3x at special prices?

Yes I appreciated the fact Mike sent the special UM3X e-mail offer to people who had formally bought the W3s from him. That is a sign of good customer service and I suspect was a profitable move. I'm sure he had some people jump on it...I know I did!

After reading some of the reviews that have been coming in I have a feeling the UM3X is going to be a winner in some circles. I should have paid extra for the next day shipping…lol.

Cheers,

Not just people who bought the W3 from him, but other customers of theirs also got the email offer (like me).

theory_87,
To which kind of music do you mostly listen to? What do you think about the ACS T1 in comparison with the UM3X? And why do you think UM3X are better?

LOL, you've just moved to another thread; I thought you had decided already??is this an indirect question about the ES3X?? make the decision, it'll be a lot healthier than doing your head in trying to get the 'perfect' IEM by collecting many different people with different ears and differing opinions

you dont often find westone products at heavily discounted prices; must be part of the distributors agreement. but since you are online, why not look it up??
