Need Help deciding which IEMs to buy

So I've gone through two pairs of Creative EP-630s and I'm looking for a change.

This latest pair has gone bad in one ear because of my mother's use (or in this case misuse) and I'm not in the best position to spend alot of money. (Senior in HS making ~$120 a week, and ending up with alot of expenses this month)

I bought the 630s before because they were on sale but right now they are normal priced right now. I'm thinking I spend a bit more cash this time and get some quality and hopefully something that will last. Although 20bucks every 5 months isn't exactly expensive even for my pitiful minimum wage job

I've got my eye set on these phones
Amazon.com: Altec Lansing UHP336 Snugfit In-ear Earphone: Electronics

If you have any other suggestions please drop them buy, I really like your "permission" to buy these, haha. $40 is absolute max and is something I really shouldn't spend but I use my headphones alot.

I would say save another $10 and get a pair of NE-7M. They have very nice mids and highs but also a nice controlled bass response and great sound stage.

Saw them before but that was when I was shopping in the $20 range, my price just keeps going up and up. V_V

So are these a significant upgrade for $10 (I know it doesn't sound like much but this isn't exactly something you classify as a necessity) I'm not an audiophile, but that's probably because I'm too poor to be one.

UHP336 aka Super.Fi 3 @ 40.00 is a total bang for buck IEM. I have a pair & love them.

If you don't mind earbuds, how about the PK3's for $39? It doesn't get more "bang for buck" than that.

PK3s for $39 or NE7M for $50 are both better budget choices.

I just received my NE7M's yesterday. While I can say that my IEM knowledge is limited and there are very few phones I am familar with, I am completely satisfied with these. I have no regrets spending the $50 at all.

They're even better after 50+ hours of burn in. The drivers need some time to get to their best since they're dynamic and not balanced armature.

You guys have convinced me to buy these, is the mic on it any good and does it work on the computer, i.e. for games (I'm no idiot and this is prolly a stupid question but I might as well ask)

Now I have to figure out a way to keep my mom away, only idea I have is to buy a pair for her. Any cheap, comfortable, easy to use IEMs. I doubt she knows any thing of quality and cheap would be around 10 bucks.

Ne-7m won't work on the computer because the mic and headphones are on the same plug instead of separate.
