First of all, it was a great meet! Meeting everyone was a thrill, the FSI organizer was very kind, people in the other booths were incredibly nice (we even had another company lending us a phono stage for 4 hours), we didn't lose anything, people who came to the room had a blast too. All in all, perfect meet!

More to come later.

Yeah, right side sounded more like left side and vice-versa.

Yes & yes.

I had a good time yesterday. I met a bunch of nice and laid back people who let you try their equipment without hesitation. It's good, because people like me who are starting out and have no point of reference to choose headphones from can really use that.

I would've liked to see more brands of dynamic headphones, but what was present was nice. I did get a good listen at the STAX (thank you Laurent for letting me hog your setup for a while!) and it felt gooood.

The roundtable was cumbersome, though. It's probably my only real gripe. I feel like a free roaming room with kiosks (in similar fashion to the other rooms) would've been more dynamic and communication friendly. However, I'm still glad the organisers gave Head-Fi a room at all! That was nice of them.

Anyways, it was a first for me and I hope to attend more meets in the future. As I get more knowledgeable and resourceful I might bring my stuff someday and let other people put their grummy hands on it.

Thanks to everyone who made it happen: it was really appreciated!

What do you mean nothing was lost? I am very upset, I did lose something at the meet. The little rubber O-ring for my volume control on my Headsix. Now I am going to have to pay @260 USD to replace it. Since it is broke I am going to have to get a 3Move to replace it. :-). Very good show, looking forward to the next Montreal meet. Good bunch of guys to have a Corporate meet with. Hoepfully the show organizers let us do it again. And in same room, round table worked perfect I think.

Honestly, replace it with a Zana Deux.

Very good and fun meet, HD-800's were tried, Orpheus were seen and drooled over, and met new people.

The people in the other booth were very kind to lend us gear and let us try julien's HP-2 on their oh so sweet gear.

I hope the reps hold to their word and lend us nice nice gear to listen to next time

Looks like you had a nice meet guys, I'm sorry I couldn't come this time, had too much work to do. Now, did you sign some kind of non-disclosure agreement? Where are the damn impressions?

What equipment represented at Montreal.

I say what equipment because I am not knowledgeable about all that was there.

I know what I brought:

From Ilovecables; Fubar III (well used by presently42's setup).
Goldring D150 headphones

From Bikeboy999; Headsix, Qables and Video IPOD.
From Eagle Eyes; Video IPOD
From MrSlim; DIY CTH, AKG240 AKG601 (and adapters for headphones)
From Papomaster; Audio Technica ???? (I do not know the rest)
