Did not expect such a huge difference with the balanced Black Dragon cable for the Shure 1540. The upgrade was definitely worthwhile. Amazing improvement of depth sounding full and warm.

Hello moon audio. I totally respect you. Far away from you guys, I have specifically chosen you to be my high end portables providers. I live in Kuwait in the Persian Gulf region. However, as my last post indicates, im totally disappointed. First when I received my Layla universal it looked so different ( the stainless steel tubes where looking so different than my peers. And now thr left piece is unresponsive to the bass adjustment. I have tried both cables but no hope. I have told Nicole ( great person of your respected group ) that I will ship my ak240ss with loose knob this week and now I gotta do the same for layla. But im lost since I do need to send the whole layla box?

Hello, Yosef.  I responded to your Direct Message about this issue on September 4th, just a few minutes after you sent the original message.  I am sorry to hear of these issues, did you not receive my reply?  I have not received another email from you.

 

We will gladly send your units to A&K for update & warranty repairs but we need you to ship them back to us first.

 

We buy our units direct from Astell & Kern so I am unsure of what you mean by the stainless steel tubes looking different.  We will gladly help you solve these warranty issues as soon as we receive them.

I've had an abhorrent experience dealing with Moon Audio... I bought the Blue Dragon USB and the Silver Dragon USB cable at the same time, and after slightly over a year, the Silver Dragon stopped working, most likely due to a cold solder. I've tried contacting them, but the price to repair the Silver Dragon USB is the same price as me purchasing a new Blue Dragon... It shouldn't break in the first place, but it did and they blame the customer for their incompetency... Better to stick with the stock cable than deal with a company that does not stand behind their products...

I'm sorry you feel this way, CalvinW.  This cable was purchased in March of 2014 and we stated via email on 11/24/15 that we will be thrilled to repair your silver dragon usb cable "free of charge". 

 

We simply need you to ship us the cable back so we can repair it.  No duty charges will be assessed on the return shipment as it will be labeled as a "repaired & returned" cable.

 

I also checked into the shipping costs for you at Canada post.  It should cost about $10.75-$20 to return the cable to us.

 

I have attached a screenshot to show you the 3 options you have that we recommend.  Please let me know how you decide to proceed.

Hello

 

I have purchased 2 cables from Moon Audio - the coax cable connecting my Fiio X3 2nd gen with my Chord Mojo and a black dragon cable for Oppo PM-3.  Great service (and a nice email conversation with Drew too) and outstanding cables.  Very well constructed, I have had nothing but good outcomes from using these cables.  I highly recommend the Black Dragon for Oppo, this and the Mojo make me smile broadly whenever I am listening to music.

A while ago I was given a set AKG-Q701 as a gift.  I listen to them for a while, but never felt I was getting everything I could from them.  So I decided to pick up the phone and give Drew a call to see what he could do.  After we talked I decided to send him the headphones to do a L-R direct connect, instead of just ordering a new set of cables as I did for my HD 650, 590, and 580 in the past.   I am so glad I did.  First Drew is a true professional, and his craftsmanship is excellent.  To look at these headphones you would have thought that they came from the factory with a set on premium cables.  The sound from the Black Dragon Cables really opened them up.  It seemed like I had a new set on cans.  Also the turnaround time was incredible.  In less than a week, they were back at my door.

 

If you are looking for a new set of cables check out Drew and Moon-Audio.  You will be glad you did.

I am a third time customer and my last order # 100015455 on 10/21/2015 is still in delay. 

Last time the sales rep emailed me about the delay was on 12/22/2015, saying that the product I ordered will be shipped by January. Not true. 

 

Well I am okay with delays since it is an imported product, but how come no one is responding to my emails anymore? Why my last 3 emails are ignored?

 

 

 

Not happy.

Hello, Mr. Li.  We are waiting to hear back from King Sound right now.  I am sorry for the delay, I thought we had responded to your last email.  KingSound was closed for Chinese New Year for the last 10 days or so and they will reopen Monday.  

 

I am truly sorry for all the delays.  I hope to update you with true shipping information by Monday.

 

Again, this is a manufacturing delay and we are doing everything in our power to make it right...we just cannot ship you something that we do not have.  When we intially placed our orders back in May of 2015, we were not told of these issues and they have not updated us in a timely manner.

 

We can kindly refund your order if this is what you would like.  If not, let's see if we hear back by Monday and I promise to update you as soon as I hear back from them.

Dear Mr. Li.

 

This is Roger from Performance Devices, the US importer for King Sound. Just a quick note to tell you that this delay has not been caused by the good people at Moon Audio. It's a problem between us and the factory. Please know that Moon Audio has been diligent about pressing us for the product and asking for constant updates on the progress. Yes, we should have delivered the product much earlier and I apologize for the very long delay. The factory is returning from their month long New Year's vacation this Thursday, Feb. 25th, and I hope to have good news.
