I'm looking at the Micro amp and DAC. What's the difference between the Micro and Ultra Micro lines? Are the Ultra Micros worth the extra price?

As to their being worth the price difference.... it depends very much on you.
I find them both to have a similar general sound. However, the ultra versions provide more sound detail. This can be really great when listening to the better recordings where there is a lot of detail and dynamic range to work with.
If you can afford the Ultra Micro's then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. However, if you can't, the Micro's are VERY worthy solutions. Don't think that you're not getting really nice equipment.

I have a lopsided stack- regular Micro amp and Ultra Micro DAC. Very nice and detailed. I recommend.
