is it my ears? or i don't find the shape of ie7 too comfortable, the pointy end keep irritate my ears.

oh, it is also quite efficient too, similar to the stock iphone bud which is > er6i >> bose OE

i was the same, was having a ton of fit issues till i tried those ebay tips, made all the difference in the world to me

Sorry to dig this up from the grave, but did this review ever happen? Like, on a separate thread or something?

It seems like it would be a worthwhile endeavor which would be beneficial to many.

Oh, woops. Well, that's unfortunate.

Maybe a few words from Nocturnal on why he didn't keep the IE8? Were the IE7 more preferable, or was the price difference just not worth it?

It's difficult do see in the cx6 picture, but the channel is designed to let a very small amount of air pass between the earcanal and the outside.
We can only guess, but it looks like it is designed to equalize air pressure.

Looks like IE7 has the same design feature, but it can't be clear seen in the picture.



My theory is it could be the open source of air for the drivers as some say that the vents on the ie7 are just cosmetic. Soooo....
