Unfortunately no...they are in the same exact box. I've got both boxes sitting here, same sku, same graphics, everything. Just a different connector on both earphones. So silly.post #993 of 11073/6/11 at 2:39amQuote:
I just glanced through this thread and saw that people were complaining about the straight connector, is there some issues or any at all with this except that it is straight? Should I be worried about them breaking down faster if i buy one with a straight or why do people want the right angled one.post #994 of 11073/6/11 at 3:03amAlso if anyone know a place that ships to europe (specifically sweden) would be amazing, there are a lot of stores in sweden that sell these but they go for about 150euro = 200dollar. Which seems people go them a lot cheaper in other places:)
post #995 of 11073/7/11 at 9:22pmI got mine earlier today and have been logging alot of time on these things. These things are awesome.
My box shows a regular Turbine with the new stress relief and a right angle connector but upon opening, I see the same old strain relief yet a right angle connector. So I guess they used the Turbine Pro picture and just changed the colors on it. I was really hoping that Monster changed the stress relief on these. I use them to secure my fit.
Anybody know if they will roll out new batches with new stress reliefs?

No one know for sure but it's adding up that they might be doing that. clearing turbines + new boxes = new design in production?
I hope so at least...
post #997 of 11073/7/11 at 9:49pmThe more time I put on my turbines, the more I feel like spending the extra $100 and getting the gold. Better sound, strain reliefs and superfit tips... Decisions decision..

But then they'd be gold (or copper). Ugh. :) I'd get em in a heartbeat if they didn't look like jewelry.post #999 of 11073/10/11 at 10:26amCan anyone confirm what the differences are between the standard model, Gold, and Copper? I also don't like the Gold "bling" effect, and would much rather have something that doesn't stand out. Equally though, if they offer genuine benefit...
Also, what tips ships with the standard model and Gold? I've tried Google Images, but can't find an unpacked shot.
TIA

You can search Gold, Copper, Miles Davis (MD). There's tons of info.post #1001 of 11073/10/11 at 10:47amYep, brain failure. Adding "box" into the search turned up something like this http://www.touchmyapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/HP-Review-Monster-TPG-package.jpg

It's a total crapshoot really...I think it's basically a 50/50 chance from that Amazon deal. Myself and my close friend both got right angle connectors but most of the guys on here got straight...so yeah. Still strange.post #1004 of 11073/11/11 at 1:34pmI just got off the phone with a product specialist from monster. He talked to the head honcho of turbines and he told me that they are working on strain reliefs for the regular turbine, as well as contemplating introducing a platinum color turbine pro. No ETA on either of these. I also addressed the issue that the new turbine box art has strain reliefs and again the head honcho relayed to me that the box art is a mistake. Kinda strange....
Ordered mine from amazon last week and got the L-Shaped plug.
