I just ordered my pair from MacMall for $120 shipped. I hope it lives up to it's hype when it arrives in the next few days.

Testing with equalizer, most of bass is coming from deep (less than 70Hz). I am investigating bass more (since this is the biggest strength of these IEM.)

Yeah, that's what convinced me to snatch up on the offer.

Well, not sure at this moment.

By the way, one of contributions of strong bass on these IEMs is eartip.

I am currently using Super Fi 5 pro's eartips on Turbine, and they indeed bring a lot of differences (and they are very good differences)

Edit: or not.... still testing.

Remember that you can get cashback from from that store using the Microsoft Live Search site. It's only a few bucks but it all adds up in the end. Mine came to about $107 with UPS 2nd Day Air and cashback.

I finally put my finger on what is nagging me about the Turbines compared to the phones I listed above. I don't find them transparent and holographic in imaging. To me this muddies the overall presentation. I can't place instruments as clearly. A lot of the depth perception isn't there. stuff I expect to be farther from the singer is almost on the same plane. I am always reminded I am listening to speakers or IEMs.

I had a similar problem with them - basically no soundstage.
